Supporting our community

As a Club we believe in giving back to our community and have several ways in which we do this.

Couch to 5K.

couch 2 5 KOffering free 10-week programmes several times a year led by one of qualified coaches designed to help people kick-start their efforts to get fitter and healthier.

Supporting local people improve their physical and mental well-being through running and exercise.

We run two partnerships that help people access our Club.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Trust – How are you South Cambs Programme.

Granta Medical Practices and Well-Being Hub (social navigator) scheme which signposts people registered at their practices.

Raising charitable monies.

The Clubs social committee organise many fantastic social events for members, friends and families throughout the year.

Over the years these have raised tens of thousands of pounds to support local causes that do good for our community.

This year’s selected charity is Royston & District Community Transport that helps people of age, frailty and impaired mobility get around.

Involving younger runners

We have a division called the Crows that welcomes young people up to 17, again facilitated by trained coaches, with many then transitioning to our adult Club.
